let's show them what we're made of...

Last night at Syntagma it was the first time I felt that something CAN change in this country.People were standing there in the rain showing their opposition to this cruel politics that makes our lives miserable ,destroys our future, forces young people to despair, takes basic rights out of everyone. This has to stop.We cant take it enymore....
We all try to create...we build our world,a safe place to live in,but somewhere in the proccess we stoped caring for each other.Lets change that before is too late, there is nothing easier to go down than a broken society....
Talking is cheap...I m going to Syntagma and I d love to see you all there...

octopus's garden

Two months ago, I came cross with Myah Bailey's work 'chroma' at the web.I was delighted to see how she worked with this beautifull creature's amazing form and color, so I had contact with her,to ask if she would be interested in allowing me to print her images on my summmer t-shirts.
She is an artist based in Portland,Oregon and she was very enthusiastic with the idea.
Our collaboration worked greater than a local one, cause she really loves what she does and so do I.
Last week I got the t-shirts from silkscreen printing.I think they look great and along with Myah's prints that I framed ,HALLELUJAH has now it's proper summer scent....Myah,I'll post you your t-shirts asap.thanks!!!!!

I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade
He'd let us in, knows where we've been
In his octopus' garden in the shade

I'd ask my friends to come and see
An octopus' garden with me
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade.

We would be warm below the storm
In our little hideaway beneath the waves
Resting our head on the sea bed
In an octopus' garden near a cave

We would sing and dance around
because we know we can't be found
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade

We would shout and swim about
The coral that lies beneath the waves
(Lies beneath the ocean waves)
Oh what joy for every girl and boy
Knowing they're happy and they're safe
(Happy and they're safe)

We would be so happy you and me
No one there to tell us what to do
I'd like to be under the sea
in an octopus's garden you and me

this is a Beatles song from Abbey Road
Argyro send me the lyrics
thanks love!I love it!!!

at the barber's

One of my favorite streets down town is Apollonos.
Its a whole universe with nice restaurants, touristic stuff and a lot of little shops for people of the holy church to buy their glam stuff just like Jesus showed them (we all remember him wearing swarovski )but thats another story.

As I was passing through the other day,I stopped at the window of an old barber shop...the light was glowing at the window.
Everything was sparkling clean, revealing a high spirits owner.
It was closed, so I was able to sneak with my eyes and almost caress everything.Barber shops were always attractive to me from the time I was a little girl and followed with my nose, every male member of the family, after they have visited the barber , because I loved the great masculine parfume combination of talc and cologne coming from their clean shaved necks.
Also it was sth like an avaton for girls, a strictly male area and that made it more seductive...
As Andy Warhol said, everybody must have a fantasy,so one for me definately is to shave my neck clean at an old barber shop and smell of talc and vintage cologne.
And then ride my horse back to the range.....
Have a GREAT DAY!!!!

full of color...

Last night there was an opening party in Archelaou, the street that HALLELUJAH is located. The new kid on the block,a lady well-known for her craftmanship long ago among cosmopolitan-vintage lovers,Jo Babari, now 'JUJU DE KOKIMO'....along with her fairy sister Matrona, created a vivid coloured space full of handmade clothes and accesories, like great pillows from vintage fabrics by 'Haroula in the Island'.
The presense of Nana Stepanian former co-owner of historical vintage boutique 'Le strenghe son tornate' made me travel back in time, when Jo was making clothes for Le strenghe',and I was working as a stylist.
Now we are neighbours in this nice street with the olive trees, filling it with creativity...
Good luck girls!

my precious...

What's with women and gems?
There must be sth like an ancient curse, that makes us loose resistance at the glowing sight of a precious stone.
To be honest I never had that sickness myself,my relation with jewelry is purely sentimental,I can adore the cheapest thing if I find it adorable..
Artist Irina Kalinzaki, tried to explore this relation with a generous dose of irony and contradiction.
I visited her show with title:' LUXURY oH! let them eat cake' at a new gallery in Thiseio called CHILLI, Saturday afternoon with beautifull neighbour Marilena..She was happy to share with us all the ideas that led to every item and..she was very proud of her new net boots from Hallelujah...
Lots of sarcasm about religion, glam and symbols..Diamonds and pearls made of wood, fluffy neckpieces, shirt collars, tight suspenders, all formed a funny luxury universe...

Another beauty, actress Melina Vatinel, posed as model for the photos of the show.

its raining girls...HALLELUJAH!!!

I just LOVE all HALLELUJAH girls...
They are so true...so real to me ...giving me so much confidence..
They are sensitive, they have values..dreams, they get in and out of love,
they search for new appartments, they share secrets and agonies with me,
they trust my opinion like no editor ever did, they are the reason
I m working all day long,to bring in life the dress they want to
live in,work, have fun in.
Age,skin tone ,hair color is irrelevant, what really matters to me is the beauty of their souls....
keep on dreaming girls, keep smiling even when everything seems lost.
I'll be there for you...
thanks to all of you for being you
